Le Monde Bakery in Kansas City

Great little French bakery in NKC! They have so many different pastry options. I read from other reviews that selection dwindles as the day goes on but we got there around 11:30ish and their display was still well stocked. Their display has a ton of different croissant and pastries. They have a little refrigerator to the side with prepared cold sandwiches/croissants for lunch. They also have a chicken curry soup with rice that everyone raves about. It was delicious! It definitely has a spice kick to it though. We also got a ham & cheese croissant and shared both items. The items in the display are room temperature and there is a microwave to warm it up if you prefer. The ambiance could use a little work and it's a small cafe, only a handful of tables so you might be forced to get your meal to go or wait. But the delicious food makes up for it!

One of my friends originally suggested we go to Le Monde Bakery for lunch. He told me about their amazing Chicken Curry Soup with rice. He was not kidding. I have been back numerous times and shared the experience with other friends. If you do not have time to eat there for lunch, you can take a single or double serving of the soup to go. Make sure you arrive early because once the soup is gone for the day you will have to settle on one of their great sandwiches or pastries instead.
